Activities:
Within the framework of work package T8 – Raising awareness about flood risks and capacity building (to improve management of flood risks), three main activities are planned:
- Raising awareness about flood risks among different target groups
Within these activities, a number of awareness-raising workshops or events for various flood risk entities (inhabitants, the economy and others) in the Dragonja, Kolpa, Bregana, Sotla, Drava and Mura basins are planned in Slovenia and Croatia, and special attention will be paid to young people (primary and secondary schools).
- Strengthening institutional capacities to improve the management of flood risks
Through participation in the project, capacity building or the development of additional knowledge of individual institutions responsible for water management or for flood risk management will increase.
- Improving cross-border flood risk management
Within this activity, potential gaps in cross-border flood risk management will be identified and analysed. In practical cases or in the framework of implementing project activities, possible institutional, administrative or other gaps will be identified and resolved.
